Extended Profile
Hi!
Like everyone on this site I love books! I'm especially fond of fantasy books, but I read a little bit of everything. I've got a lot of books, mostly a colourful collection of paperbacks, because I tend to buy my books cheap and generally secondhand - there's something wonderful about searching through bookshelves and stalls and little markets for something interesting to read or finding that little treasure: the book you've been meaning to read.
Pretty much all of what I read is fiction. Mostly fantasy books in all sorts and shapes; magical, humouristic, romantic, slightly dark, fluffy, funny or vampiric. I also enjoy children or teen books, chick-lit and manga. I like to switch up these fast reads with the occasional classic, or 1001 book.
I'm not the most active bookcrosser. I occasionally do a bookswap, or RABCK, or release something into the wild. My available and TBR piles also aren't that big, but if anything catches your eye, feel free to ask me for a swap or a RABCK - like I said, I'm not the most active bookcrosser, but I also never fail to make journal entry and, though it might take me a while sometimes, I do try to eventually send the books I get to other interested readers and keep these books travelling!
Besides books I love bookmarks, postcards, scrapbooking and origami. I've also been meaning to get some real bookcrossing supplies for ages, some little stickers or bookmarks to leave in wild releases, but somehow I never quite do. I guess that's why I prefer leaving books at OBCZ's or doing bookswaps - at least this way I know that the book won't end up lost somewhere. Still, there's something about wild releasing that makes you just want to give it another try... and then another. Maybe one day one of my books will actually be journalled...
