What-ho, BXers!
I'm not really into Bookcrossing for sharing books in the book-club kind of way. I love the release-into-the-wild idea, because I love the serendipity of wandering along finding a book myself. I am a generalist, reading pretty much any non-fiction stuff I can get my hands on; my true tastes incorporate some of what you see here, span almost all Humanities and Sciences, and veer out into other realms. With fiction, I'm far more picky, but quality SF and novels rule the roost. If you seek a book you think I might have, PM me. I take forever to reply, but I will do it, I swear.
I'm an old-timey bookcrosser now, which means I really haven't kept up with all the great ways there are to use this site. If you have any suggestions for me, PM me!
By the way, the photo is of the REAL Violeta Parra, the Chilean ethnomusicologist-folklorist-cum-protest-songwriter, who left us too soon but left an entire legacy and new generations of Parras to carry on the work of fighting for autonomy and peace through art.
