Decided to clean up my BC main page (profile/bookshelf) a bit, and this way it might be easier to update the list of books I've read so far, the updates I'll make, and other random stuff... You can check all of that now at my LiveJournal page

I'd like to apologise for my long absence... Since 2004 a lot of things have happened in my life, and those changes required for me to concentrate on other things, on my professional and personal life, and leave BookCrossing behind. I've kept reading books, of course, not as many as I would like to but...
As for the books I got from some BookCrossers, and that I have pending on my shelves, I will contact everyone who I need to apologise to ;-x It might take some time, but I WILL do that!

I've found some interesting websites that have books available for online reading, so I've started to register the ones I know/like/want to read, so that others can enjoy the treat ^_^. Check my bookshelf for new e-books, and others...

* Books in "Permanent Collection" are not available for trade/loan/release, sorry ;-(. (In most cases, PC's are not available... but I might open an exception but only within local BookCrossers, hand delivery...)
* Books in "Available" are available for loan, with the condition that you promise to take good care of them and that they are returned to me after you've read it ;-). Can't understand very well what's the surprise that some people show upon this simple condition... Anyway, feel free to send me a private message if you want to know about any of them! Some might/will be available for release in the future I hope (but I'll write more on this later...)

I'm still learning my way around BookCrossing, but the concept of the whole thing seems very very interesting to me! I just have a hard time thinking that I'll have to give away my books :-/. And I don't even own that many books actually, most of the books I've read the past 5-6 years where from the lybrary! Most of the ones I won where gifts and/or belong to my parents... I took them from their bookshelf and they never really noticed! They're not into reading very much, at least not anymore.
I think it was my brother who got me into reading, he had many books and still has. I borrowed a couple of his books but can't do it very often because now he lives far from me. I remember being a kid and he gave me 2/3 collections of used books he found in a bookshop (Enid Blyton's "Famous Five", "Sta. Clares" and "Malory Towers"), I must have read them 2 ou 3 times each hehehehe! Before that, I enjoyed reading comic books, there were lots of Disney's comics around the house, most of them belonged to my brother, sometimes used books bought by him...
