Extended Profile
I'm a part-time history professor, part-time writer, and full-time parent who was born and raised in southern New England but currently lives in suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I use bookcrossing primarily as a way to pass on small paperbacks that I'm
done with, but I also occasionally pick up cheap copies of favorite books just for the sake of releasing them and introducing them to others.
I have perennial book-storage issues, so I tend to release books soon after I register them. I only register a book once I
know I don't want to keep it, however, so anything that is on my shelf and marked "available" or "to be read" (by me) is fair game. If you see a something that catches your fancy, let me know. I'll be happy to trade it--domestically or overseas--for
a book from my wishlist (see below). I'm also happy to send any of my books to a US address in exchange for $2.00 worth of stamps (to cover the cost of postage).
If one of my books comes into your hands (whether directly from me, from another BookCrosser, or from a chance discovery in some public place), it's yours. Release it "in the wild" . . . give it to a friend . . . donate it to a charity shop or book sale . .
. sell it on EBay . . . put it on your shelf . . . use it to level the dining room table. Anything that makes you happy (short of using it for kindling) is cool with me.
