I got started while signing on just to get my son (Bastillion) Bookcrossing supplies.
Most of my books are probably romances as I get extras from yard sales and thrift stores and library sales to give to my mom as she reads at least 3 a day.
As I started looking for books for my mother at the senior centers, I officially became the librarian at both centers. I register them and sticker with the spine ballycomber so that I can
keep track of the ones that I have already given my mother. They are under my log in name as the centers didn't want their separate accounts. This is why I call them my UNOFFICIAL crossing zones.
Most of the books go back to the centers, so that is why I just journal them as traveling.
I have gotten to the point that there is TOO many books registered to try to hunt any down for anybody. I used to mark them available if I had them at home for me to read first or before I gave them to my mother, but now I just list them as traveling or reserved.
I stopped registering my TBR and Permanent books a while back as I couldn't read them fast enough to get them off to other bookcrossers.
Just reached my 11,000th book.
Today, December 3rd, 2010, one week before my 60th birthday, I have registered my 12,000th book.
13.000th book (October 29th,2011)
I have now passed my 14,000th book (January 8th, 2013
