Recent Book Activity

Behind me as I type is a room filled with boxes ... really ... filled ... to the ceiling. In the boxes are thousands of books. Fiction, juvenilia, history and the miscellania that I have accreted during work in the book trade and a now-lapsed intention to read one entire book every single day. Ten years ago I halved my collection and gave thousands of books to friends and to charity shops. Now it is time to do that again. And then, when I have a more manageable number, I will build my library and free the room that I want to be a play space instead of a warehouse.
