* Books have accompanied me through most of my life, and have been a constant source of comfort during very lonely periods. Some of my favorites include the Random Acts of Kindness collection by the Conari Press, Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, and the Mitford series by Jan Karon. I've seen enough ugliness and negativity in my lifetime, so I seem to gravitate towards gentle and positive reads.
* I obviously don't release books as often as many others do, not because I do not enjoy BookCrossing or sharing, but due to the fact that I have a difficult time leaving books just anywhere. I allow the release spot to "choose" me instead of the other way around. Or I may let the book lead me to it where it wishes to be freed. My husband has an easier time letting go. Be sure to stop by his bookshelf, who knows, he may have the book you've been looking for.
*All books with an AVL status are available to any BookCrosser interested in reading & then releasing back into the wild --- on second thought, if you truly wish to permanently hold on to a book, be my guest; just be sure to let me know, please... Simply send me a private message with your request.
* If you are interested in a book with a TBR status, don't hesitate to let me know. I'll move it to the top of my reading list and send it to you afterwards --- unless the book is marked Private Collection in journal entry, in which case I will turn into a bratty baby and refuse to share!
If you do not hear back from me please re-send all correspondence

You're The Guns of August!
by Barbara Tuchman
Though you're interested in war, what you really want to
know is what causes war. You're out to expose imperialism, militarism, and
nationalism for what they really are. Nevertheless, you're always living in
the past and have a hard time dealing with what's going on today. You're also
far more focused on Europe than anywhere else in the world. A fitting motto
for you might be "Guns do kill, but so can diplomats."
