I have always wanted to own a bookstore that was set up like a private library in
one's home. It would have tons of books - old, new & in-between, overstuffed
chairs, lots of old rockers, big, comfy floor pillows, lots of windows with window
seats, a roaring fire in the stone fireplace (in the winter), hot & cold beverages (inc.
mulled cider in the winter), "with-its" (to eat), etc.
I have a great start on my own library & I collect old books as well. I also like giving
books as gifts - for toddlers on up to the seniors that I know. I love to write, as
well as read, & I love word games/puzzles.
I have many interests - especially my personal relationship with The LORD JESUS CHRIST, my large family, basketball [NBA], music (singing & listening), NY 4-seasons, etc.
I dislike Facebook, but I do have a Twitter account (am extremely selective).

In the past, I was involved in a number of BC challenges. The last one I did was a personal International Challenge.
I tried to make contact with a BookCrosser from other countries in which BC
has members. I would like to have a book from each country in the native language of
that country. So far, the countries that have come through for me are:
1.Bulgaria

everything!
2.England
(although the book is in English, it is written by a British author, & is published in Great Britain). Thank you, LyzzyBee, for the book.
3.Finland
(in Finnish) Thank you, DotDot, for your help & sending the book.
4.France
(in French) Thank you to my friend, NobodysPerfect, for being a friend, for sending the book, & for taking an interest.
5.Netherlands
(in Dutch). Thank you, Nrrdgrrl, for helping me out with my Int'l Challenge. The book was great!
6.Ireland
(in Gaelic). Thank you to my friend, PeaceAngel, for all your help in acquiring this book, as well as all the goodies you sent. Thank you for being a good friend to me. You are the best!!
7.Germany
(in German). Thank you, Aleonblue, for the children's book. I appreciate your contribution to my Int'l Challenge.

*I am willing to exchange any book I have with one in another language, so I hope lots of BC'ers see this & help me out. If you have a book for me, but you don't see one on my
bookshelf that you'd like in exchange, I will be happy to try to get any title for you (if possible). BTW, it has to be a book in the native language by a native author, & must come to me postmarked from that country.

**2019 UPDATE:
The last few years have been incredibly difficult & I must confess that I've let so many things slide. I will try to get my BookCrossing self together as we head into 2020!
**2020 UPDATE:
Well, here I am, half-way through 2020 & this is the first time in many, many months that I've visited Bookcrossing! I love it, but I just don't seem to have much time to do the things I love. I think that is very sad, so I'm doing whatever I can to try to adjust my schedule to do more of the things I love! Life is too short to be busy all the time!
