Extended Profile
I love books and reading, but I love other things too. Humour and music are the most important of my other interests, but I also have a stab at writing. I like a good film, too, although these days I tend to see them on the glowing box in the living room
rather than on the silver screen. My musical interests are wide-ranging and eclectic - from avant-garde new music through jazz, dance music, world music right through to mainstream pop - I try to appreciate everything. There is nothing that I look down my
nose at and I'm proud of that.
I don't try to have my finger on the pulse, and many things pass by me, unnoticed, but I enjoy dipping my toe into the various cultural currents that accidentally I find myself close to. In this way I visit art galleries and museums and, on rarer but no less treasured occasions, I find myself in the audience and watching modern dance.
Another interest of mine is discovering wonderful ideas in action, like BookCrossing.
Best wishes to all
