Extended Profile

I hold a PhD in German literature - of course I love to read! I taught myself to read when I was four years old and have done so pretty much non-stop ever since. My childhood was punctuated by my parents admonishing me to "put down that book now and go outside to play, you look so pale dear". Now I am grown up and married, it's my husband who keeps telling me to "look up from that book, I am talking to you!"
