Hello BookCrossers !!!
My name is Carol Ann; I live in Northern California. I am a confessed “book-junkie.” I buy more books than I can possibly keep up with, but there is just something wonderful about purchasing and holding a brand new book, and the way that it fits so nicely into my (never-ending) TBR pile (*sigh.....*)
I mainly read fiction, historical fiction, contemporaries, mysteries, as well as historical romance. I really enjoy Mystery/Suspense, however, I tend to shy away from horror/thriller and sci-fi titles. I view reading as a reality escape and don't wish to take a mental voyage with Stephen King or Dean Koontz, since I really cherish a good nights rest (*wink*.)
My biggest weakness is reading a Historical Romance set in the Scottish Highlands, I can’t seem to resist a strong, dark Highlander in Plaid (kilt)…….*sigh*………:O) {They are a treat.... like potato chips for the imagination.......YUMMY !!!}
I have, locally, released a few books into the wild; however, I would much prefer to have a "Controlled Release," therefore, I know that my books are going to a good home. It has been so much fun getting to know members from all over our country and Canada:)
Since the postal rates are so high to ship overseas, I only wish to trade within the United States and Canada. I will make exceptions when participating in BookRings and BookRays, I find that it is so much fun for me to be a part of a books long journey around the world:)
Before requesting a book, "please" look in my Journal Entry. If (PC) is indicated in the book title, it means that I am holding on to the title for my Personal Collection. There are (sooo) many books that I have not read, which I have indicated my Journal entry as “TBR.” I don’t wish to part with these titles until I have a chance to read them myself. Unfortunately, I tend to be the slowest reader on the planet, due to that I am also a mother of 4 children, so I beg, borrow and steal every free chance I can to indulge myself:)
I am looking forward to sharing and swapping titles with fellow BookCrossing members:) I am also in favor of the RABCK = "Random Act of BookCrossing Kindness." It is an excellent way to make somebody feel very special !!!

10: "Excellent...!!!" I couldn't put it down and would consider a re-read!!!
9: Great book! I would have rated it a 10...except for 'one' tiny little thing...
8: Good, solid book. I would recommend it to a friend:~)
7: Good book...but I wouldn't read it again.
6: Decent.....but not my type of book:~/
5: Only OK, barely worth reading. Thin line between recommending it.
4: Maybe somebody else would like this....I didn't:~(
3: Has major problems. I won't recommend it!
2: It's hard to imagine anyone liking this book...but that's just my opinion.
