Recent Book Activity

Please don't PM me asking for books that have not appeared on the WishList Forum. I am working to a budget and can only afford to send out so many a month.

Self imposed rules for Bookcrossing.

I reserve the right to change my mind and do something completely different at any point!

Anything I may say on the forums should be taken with a pinch of salt and I reserve the right to alter my opinions on any subject whenever the whim takes me.

I will not take anything posted on the forums by others personally or if I do will go and bitch to my husband about it rather than post a negative response, unless I’m tired, drunk, in a foul mood etc… then I can say what I like (see above).

I will read 100 books this year, unless I don’t.

I will not buy any more books until I have my TBR pile down to 100, unless I see a really good bargain, or something I really, really need!

I will reply to all PM’s sent to me unless I don’t feel like it.

I will stick to my budget and only post out what I can afford.

I will enjoy it!!!!

I was first introduced to BookCrossing via the BBC’s Big Read 100 Messageboard in April 2003. The original idea was to find a way to reduce the amount of books in the house, we now have twice as many!

I made my first wild release in my local cinema on 27th April, it was caught, read and re-released and I have been hooked ever since.
At the end of the summer I started to involve family and friends, giving them bags/boxes of books to release on my behalf while they were travelling. This has resulted in 4 catches. 1 from Sweden, 1 from South Africa and 2 from Norwich.

Disclaimer:- I am a smoker and have a cat, therefore if you are sensitive to the smell of cigarette smoke on books or have an allergy to cat hair it may be wise not to request any books from me as I can not guarantee that my books will be free of either.
