Extended Profile
Kia ora, thanks for visiting! My BookCrossing shelf doesn't reflect my tastes particularly well, but if any of it reflects yours and you'd like to talk about it or request a book, you're more than welcome to send me a message. It's always a treat to hear
from other BookCrossers.
A bit about me:
I was introduced to BookCrossing back in 2007 by Mochagirl when we were both living in Melbourne. I instantly loved the idea of it, as it meshed so well with my fondness for books, my frugal and nomadic tendencies, and my enjoyment of interactive grassroots projects.
Sadly, I don't read as much as I would like to these days, and I seem to be an increasingly slow and easily distracted reader. Books have always been a much-loved part of my life, though, since before I could even read them. I was one of those children who wouldn't go to bed unless my parents had read at least a few different stories to me, and when I discovered, at age 4 or 5, that we wouldn't be learning how to read until the next year in school, I insisted that my grandmother teach me at home instead. I also grew up with the privilege of having a mother who worked in bookshops for most of my life, and she continues to share her delight in books with me to this day.
