Extended Profile
The adorable heroic dog pictured above is Petunia Grace.
Here's more than you probably want to know about me:
-I'm a painfully shy Christian- raised Baptist by formerly Methodist parents - who married a Whiskeypalian.
-I'm myopic, and have never tried contact lenses.
-I'm a member of the Palmetto State Teacher's Association and the Pee Dee Chapter of the International Reading Association.
-I eat nearly anything at least once.
-I belong to no political party- but I have Libertarian leanings.
-I tend to judge loud stupid people harshly, but silently.
-Once, I've heard it, I tend to remember it.
-I'm an arachniphobe who has terrifyingly realistic dreams about spiders. Unfortunately, I've seen them in my waking hours, too.
-I'm terrible with the spoken word- better when it comes to writing.
-Wish I were better at talking/ singing/ dancing/ playing the guitar/ dog training.
-During the summer months, it's usually well past noon before I change out of my pajamas. The grey cotton flannel ones with the embroidered white stars are my favorite. I can't stand anything tight around my waist- so these are two sizes too big (according
to Mr. PetuniasMama anyway). I think they're just right.
-I drink a glass or two of dry, red wine/ cognac about once/week.
-I cannot live without real coffee with real cream/ chocolate/ books/ music/ faith/ hope/ love.
-I drive a used '95 silver Mercedes (with over 200,000 miles on it) with my adorable stray mixed smiling doggie's face pointing out of the passenger window.
-I'm not sure what I want to be when I grow up. Today, a ball girl for the Atlanta Braves seems best. Yesterday, it was dessert critic.
-To me, it just doesn't get any better than sitting on my front porch swing on a cool evening with Bach's Cello Suites wafting amongst the farm sounds and smells, with half a glass of Duckhorn Cabernet in one hand and my beloved
Mr. PetuniasMama's hand in the other while staring at the oreo cows or nothing in particular, and rubbing my superhero doggie's tummy with one foot as the other hardly rocks the swing.
- Oh yes, and, I'm a happy nonsmoker, who was once an unhappy smoker.

I'm a bit skeptical of my ranking as a grammar deity. There's no need to report my linguistic transgressions to the English language constabulary. The authorities have been informed, and are conducting a full investigation.

You are a GRAMMAR GOD!
If your mission in life is not already to
preserve the English tongue, it should be.
Congratulations and thank you!

I am royal blue.
You Are Royal Blue

People find you difficult to understand. In fact, you often find it hard to understand yourself.
You think so much that sometimes you get lost in your own thoughts!
Supposedly, I am a sapphire. It is my birthstone, and there are two on the engagement ring Mr. PetuniasMama gave me long ago.

! You are most Like A Sapphire !
Dark, mysterious - but unforgettable. You have a
deep
beauty. Delicate, and shy you try to stay away from
the
limelight but often your intelligence puts you in
at the
deep end. You're like a Sapphire, because, your
beauty is priceless.
You're intelligent, full of opinions, and not
big-headed about it all.
Sometimes you need to put yourself out there, as
you can be a bit shy.
Congratulations ... You're the mysterious gem
everybody wants to have and learn more about.

Here's what kind of soul I am:
You Are a Retrospective Soul |
![]() The most misunderstood of all the soul signs. Sometimes you even have difficulty seeing yourself as who you are. You are intense and desire perfection in every facet of your life. You're best described as extremely idealistic, hardworking, and a survivor. Great moments of insight and sensitivity come to you easily. But if you aren't careful, you'll ignore these moments and repeat past mistakes. For you, it is difficult to seperate the past from the present. You will suceed once you overcome the disappoinments in life. Souls you are most compatible with: Traveler Soul and Prophet Soul |
According to this quiz, I belong in the following classic novel:

I believe you belong in Pride and Prejudice; a
world of satire and true love. A world where
everything is crystal clear to the reader, and
yet where new things seem to be happening all
the time. You belong in a world where your
free-thought puts you above the silly masses,
and where bright eyes and intelligence are
enough to attract the arrogant
millionaire/prejudiced young woman of your
choice.

Here's the country I am:
You're
the United Nations!
Most people think you're ineffective, but you are trying to
completely save the world from itself, so there's always going to be a long
way to go. You're always the one trying to get friends to talk to each
other, enemies to talk to each other, anyone who can to just talk instead of
beating each other about the head and torso. Sometimes it works and sometimes
it doesn't, and you get very schizophrenic as a result. But your heart
is in the right place, and sometimes also in New York.

The following is the classic movie that supposedly embodies me:
Here is my supposed leadership style:
Supposedly I am this color:

You're the color blue. You have the three c's in
life--you're cool, caring and confident.
Trustworthy and honest, people are naturally
attracted to you. You're unusually optimistic,
but that makes life all the better. You're an
imaginative person who loves sleeping and
dreaming. Hard-working and determined, you
excell in school. You're everybody's favorite,
and this is because you have this undefined
richness in your personality and attitude.
Mild-tempered and stable. Not to mention very
intelligent. Along with the fact that you're
conservative, you're worried about the
environment. So basically, you're a generous,
dependable and devoted--just the kind of person
everybody needs. Wouldn't it be great if
everybody in the world were like you?

Ravenclaw! Some might see you as a bit haughty, but
that's just because they lack the intellectual

little difference between enlightenment and

kids: just because you're brilliant doesn't
mean you're studious!

To celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day (September 19th):
You are a Pirate Second Class
Do you remember the last time you took
a chance? I do. It was when you decided
to leave the security of your mother's womb
and headed for the bright light. It's time
to head for the next bright light, my friend.
Creativity is not your strong suit. You
are good at doing what you are told to do
and that, in itself, is a gift. It's not a
gift to you, mind you, but rather a gift to
those who will be there to tell you what
to do. You like long walks on the beach and
cuddling, but would never admit that to your
Guy friends who think you are okay but can't
always remember your name. Tapioca pudding
seems a bit extreme for a fellow such as
yerself, what with all the bumps and stuff.
It's a good thing ye be on a pirate ship,
otherwise, ye'd would be walkin' because ye be
positively pedestrian. Have a nice day.
