The illusion that we are on our own, separated from everyone around us, is shattered through the shared experience of art.

I have three main passions in life - movies, books, and my niece and nephews, though not always in that order. I'm a fan of life stories, both fictional and non, but I also love a Grisham-style mystery and Fforde-ish humor. I'm addicted to travel stories and tales of people stepping out of their comfort zones to seek new places and new cultures, and I love to read about fascinating people living out ordinary (and sometimes extraordinary) lives.
