My Bookcrossing Statistics offered and updated by Wyando *Thank You*
Hello from down under, down under New Zealand that is ! - Howzit for all the South Africans visitors, and a sorry its is/was/gonna be so cold to all my english bookcrossing counterparts.

I LOVE reading, I mean I really LOVE reading. I actually feel saddened when I hear that people have only read one book in their life. What a loss.
I read on average six to eight books a month. Especially horror and sci-fi, although I'm not adverse to reading anything else. In fact to be honest I read just about anything although I draw the line at Mills & Boon and the ever popular romantic witches, werewolves
and vampires. (I'm not dissing them, just couldn't read one). I'm discovering many new exciting and incredible authors and through BC I find I am reading books that I never would have picked up in the past. This is the one aspect of BC that I love the most.
The other aspect is meeting and receiving messages from the universal library of book crossers. Bc'ers are such amazing, friendly people. I have had so many messages and chatted to some really wonderful people.
Now as to what I do, I work at Radio New Zealand, as part of the incredible comms team (The power behind the micro-throne - so to speak).
I was born in Portsmouth, and emigrated (with parents, not a prodigy child) to Rhodesia when I was 12. At 20 I emigrated to South Africa, and at 33 returned to blighty. Bloody 'ell 10 years later I moved on again. This time far down under, to New Zealand. NZ
is beautiful, they call it GODzown but my heart will always belong in Africa. It creeps into your heart and soul, a beautiful country, torn by conflict and hatred.
I've travelled to many places and love visiting new countries and then meeting the locals. I have travelled to Botswana, Boston, New York, Munich, Austria, The Channel Islands (Jersey, Guernsey), France, Turkey, Greece, Venice, Croatia, Scotland (boated the
entire Caledonian Canal from Fort William to Inverness), Wales (Laugharne, Tenby and Carmarthan), Ireland (Clonegal, Dublin, Kilkenny), Portugal (Faro, Albuferia, Silves), Norway (Flam, Alesund), Iceland (Rekyjavik, Sejdfjordur), Faroe Islands (Torshavn, Heimany)and
the Orkney Islands (Kirkwall).
Emigrated to New Zealand - 2008.....gonna bookshare way down under.... Well We are here now and living the so called "Life", its beautiful in its ruggedness and the islands roads leave much to be explained. Shortage of bookcrossers, but with passion we can
change this. We have a meeting in Wellington on a thursday, in town, but living so far up the coast, its difficult to meet anyone. Not many bc'ers around the Kapiti coast, So I'm alone here. Think I'll email a few BC'rs in the UK, and Australia, and try and
get a bigger expansion started. Christchurch has a big bookcrossing crowd, and is big on conventions. Missed the last one !

I am amazed at bookcrossing and just love what it achieves. I'm willing to send books anywhere, so if you see something you like, PM me and we shall see what we can do for you.
Well that's me wrapped up in a kernel (computer speak) love to hear from any BC'er about anything especially good books to read...too many authors, too little time. I have a Blog which I fill with thought, musings and poetry - Check it out on
Poetry Corner, and see my daily blog of poetry....good for a few daring thoughts.
Oops, by the way I'm also an aspiring writer, and poet, My poetry has been published but I want to write a novel. Unfortunately being so well read, I struggle to find new ideas. Don't want to plagiarize.
I'm back into cycling again, and this time my lovely wife has joined me, and she is doing so well, We joined what Nz'ers call Bikewise (Http:\\www.bikewise.co.nz) where you log all the cycling you do, its great, and Lynee has already logged over 200km. So hopefully
by the end of the year there will be less of us.

In this regard I'm going to read an book for a country if the author was born in that country. This seems the best and easiest way to complete the challenge!

In this regard I'm going to read an authors book for a County, if he/she was born in that County.
If you spot a mistake please PM me, as I would like to keep it accurate. Any help in pointing out Authors from Counties that I don't have (E.g Scotland, Wales, Ireland and England) would be greatly appreciated. PM me with ideas
As with the countries challenge I'm taking CarolinaCajun's advice and reading an authors book for a state, if he/she was born in that state.
If you spot a mistake please PM me, as I would like to keep it accurate.
