I always associate books with a sense of magic. Is there a force out there guiding us to read the books that we are supposed to be reading? If that truly is the case, I want to contribute to the magic.
Quite thankful that the winter is so cold this year as it is the perfect antidote for the winter blahs. So grateful that I have stockpiled through the year.
I have always had a passion for books due to the fact that reading was an integral part of my life. Going to the library every Saturday with my Nana and then sometimes to the bookstore were such highlights as well as the bookmobile coming around. My first job was at a bookstore which was such a bonus. The percs of being a bookseller improved the second time around working at a bookstore. I have gone back to my first love which is teaching. Encouraging adults to develop a love of reading and actually succeeding!!! "Hey, you know, this reading stuff isn't bad."
I have a soon to be 16 year old daughter who is a closest reader. Put a book on her bed, and she devours it but tells the outside world that she hates to read. My 11 year son is also a passionate reader and is still trying to teach the dog how to read!!! The dog hasn't found a genre that he likes ......yet!!
