You could call me a bibliophile, writer, geek, introvert, and even, occasionally, an exercise nut. People find me very quiet at first. Mark that up to the fact that I feel more comfortable communicating in writing; however, I can be just as verbose as
the next person when I get to know someone.
Too much of my time is taken up by my day job, which involves a lot of writing and tech support. My favored pursuits of reading and writing are crammed in wherever I can find space not already filled with another obligation. My own writing is often done late
into the night on the weekends and some evenings. I write and publish motivational articles for women (so far anyway) and am currently revising my speculative fiction book.
A special interest is learning about infectious diseases--more specifically about how phages behave and their effects on history. I study about how outbreaks happen and how they are tracked down to their source, identified, and treated. This includes interest
both in the scientific/medical process and also in the way that outbreaks and plagues effect history and culture. I particularly like to read both fact and fiction books related to this topic.
