Recent Book Activity

Ever since I learned to read I have surrounded myself with books.

I am a mother and a grandmother. My children are avid readers and my grandchildren love books. It is a wonderful legacy to share.

I am a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

I love to travel and am the author of books on personal growth through travel.

My first book Questing Marilyn: In Search of My Holy Grail, Personal Growth Through Travel (2003) is about the struggles I went through while travelling in England and Ireland to discover my Self and how to let go of other peoples expectations of me. I include a lot of information I use as a therapist to help my clients get to know themselves better. For those who like introspection and memoirs it is a great read.

Questing France: Deepening the Search for My Holy Grail, Personal Growth Through Travel,(2005) is my second book and it deals with infidelity and the ways travel can be used to work on relationships. Again I use my professional skills and apply them to my life to try to save my marriage after discovering my husband had a relationship with another woman who posed as my friend.

Questing Home: A Safe Place For My Holy Grail (2008) takes readers through the process of divorce. Filled with true accounts of the power struggles and manipulations, emotional abuse and bullying that are common occurrences by both the legal system and men of privilege and influence, readers learn how women and children suffer. They can also heal and rebuild their lives. Follow my story of how I recover.

I am also an avid reader and collector of books. Many are in my professional library however I love a good novel.
