I live in the lovely south-west of England, although I was born in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is where the white ducks with bright yellow beaks come from. At the time of my birth, my mother was the owner of the Saracen's Head public house in Aylesbury and I was delivered at home. I have one brother and two sisters, all of whom are older than me.

I am married and have been so for 22 years, so far. We are very happy together and have produced one daughter who we are extremely proud of - she is also extremely good company and makes us laugh a great deal as she has a wicked sense of humour.

I work, on a full-time basis, as a Connexions Personal Adviser - I trained as a Careers Adviser and have now been employed by the local Connexions Service. The Connexions Service provides an information, advice, guidance and support service to people between the ages of 13 and 19. I have a lot of work experience and have now been given the opportunity to spend half my time working with colleagues who are working towards the achievement of their professional qualifications. I help them by assessing their work and mentoring them in the workplace. I am very happy with the work that I do and really enjoy myself and the challenges that face me on a daily basis.

In my spare time I am very interested in a wide range of craft activities including cardmaking, ornare (paper lace), embossing, knitting and crochet. My dream is to get a business started one day.
