About me:
I'm a 31-year-old woman from Finland and I love books. Wherever I am, libraries and bookshops feel like home. My favourite bookshop is
Shakespeare and Co in Paris.
I have many favourite books, three of them are "Linnanneidon lokikirja" ("I Capture the Castle") by
Dodie Smith, "Tuli ja myrkkykatko" ("Fire and Hemlock") by
Diana Wynne Jones and "Avalonin usvat" ("The Mists of Avalon") by
Marion Zimmer Bradley.
I also dream about writing a children's book. Actually, I've written a script for one. I don't know yet if it will ever be good enough for any publisher, but if it never gets published I can still print it from my computer and give it to my little brother.
:)
I read about BookCrossing in a book discussion forum and wanted to join immediately! I think it's really exciting how books can make contacts between people and perhaps even travel all over the world. Who knows, perhaps a book you release changes someone's
life! :) My screen name, Lukutoukka, is Finnish and means a bookworm.
I use my wishlist as a kind of notebook, so I would remember all the interesting titles I would like to read. My only accurate and up-to-date wishlist nowadays is the "official" BC wishlist.
