Hi, as all of you who speak German will have noticed my screen name is from a fairytale told by the Grimm brothers.
I love fairytales and legends but my bookshelves are also filled with a lot of other books of all kinds.

Some of the books that I would never want to part with are:

Taube unter Falken (Katherine Allfrey), The Lioness Quartet (Tamora Pierce), Krabat (Ottfried Preußler),
Die Säulen der Erde (Ken Follet), Der Medicus (Noah Gordon), Soul Flame (Barbara Wood),
Die Löwin von Aquitanien (Tanja Kinkel), Pope Joan (Donna W. Cross), Der Name der Rose (Umberto Eco),
Die drei Musketiere (Alexandre Dumas), Felidae (Akif Pirincci), Three Fates (Nora Roberts),
Memoirs of a Geisha (Arthur Golden), Dream Man (Linda Howard), my Karl May books,
Pavilion of Women (Pearl S. Buck), Kinder- und Hausmärchen (Gebrüder Grimm), Fliedermütterchen (H. Ch. Andersen)

What I am according to the "Book Quiz"

You're Watership Down!

by Richard Adams

Though many think of you as a bit young, even childish, you're
actually incredibly deep and complex. You show people the need to rethink their
assumptions, and confront them on everything from how they think to where they
build their houses. You might be one of the greatest people of all time. You'd
be recognized as such if you weren't always talking about talking rabbits.

Take the Book Quiz at the Blue Pyramid.

"Lesen? Das geht ein, zwei Jahre gut, dann bist Du süchtig."

Anonym

"Oh, it is absurd to have a hard and fast rule about what one
should read and what one shouldn't. More than half of modern culture
depends on what one shouldn't read."

"Eine strenge und unumstößliche Regel, was man lesen sollte und was nicht,
ist albern. Man sollte alles lesen. Mehr als die Hälfte unserer heutigen
Bildung verdanken wir dem, was wir nicht lesen sollten."

Oscar Wilde
