Extended Profile
I adore reading, but then don't we all. My taste ranges from the trashy to the down right hard going literature although for pleasure I like something in between.
I have a great affection for the blockbusters of yesteryear, writers such as Shirley Conran, Jilly Cooper, Judith Krantz. I am less enamoured of the `chick lt' genre, but don't mind giving them a go when I need a quick comfort read.
Simularily I really do enjoy a good historical novel, not necessarily bodice rippers, but anything to do with Roman times...or Medieval.
I love crime novels and have a stash of green and cream Allinghams, Marsh etc that are my pride and joy. Ian Rankin is my favourite new crime writer and I have the complete Rebus. I love reading new crime novels, set either in the past or present, but no future. I have a major problem with Sci-Fi.
