About Me
First of all, I’m a science student studying at degree level. This means my visits to BC can be sporadic, depending on the workload. I AM active however, and I can’t ever see myself not being active!
Now it’s time for me to tell you a few things about myself!
I’m a sciency person, currently working towards a BSc in Science. I work voluntarily on-and-off in a charity shop, when I have time between university stuff! I was brought up on a diet of books, and I can’t imagine being without at least one or two on the go. I love cats, and have 2 Siamese and a moggy. Anime & manga are big interests for me, and as a result I’m attempting to learn Japanese. My favourite colours are Purple, Teal, Black and Silver. I adore Turkish Delight (apart from pistachio) and marshmallows. I raid the local charity shops (we have 6 in my town - score!) about once a week, and often come home with a bag full of books. I have approximately 150 books on Mount TBR at any given time, and that’s only counting the physical books, not all the ebooks I have waiting. I often buy second hand books to register and pass on/RABCK, not to read - so it’s a good idea to have a look at my PC for a better idea of my likes.
My preferred genres are: Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Historical, Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy. I will try books that are on the 1001 list. I enjoy Japanese literature, so I tend to sign up for most rings/rays/BBs with that theme.
I don’t really do well with modern mainstream fiction, because I find it too ‘normal’ for my tastes. Chick-lit is a BIG no-no for me. As a whole, I don’t really like Mills & Boon, but occasionally I’m in the mood for one of their Historical or Regency types - light fluff that doesn’t tax the brain is a welcome break sometimes!

~ BC supplies, shop or home-made, it doesn’t matter!
~ Bookmarks (the souvenir kind is cool too - I’m starting to collect those!)
~ Earrings for pierced ears. I LOVE the over-the-top or dangly kind.
~ Strange/weird/quirky knitted hats (e.g. with ears, tails, funky patterns etc.)
~ Anything weird, quirky or just downright strange.
