I've been an incurable reader my whole life, I somehow learned when I was 3, my mother discovered I could when she realized I was actually reading my birthday cards.

I majored in English after a detour into music, minored in theater. Besides reading, my main hobby is knitting - I've been at it since I was 4 years old, and now teach knitting and weaving at Rumpelstiltskin Yarns (www.rumpelstiltskinyarns.com). I also crochet, embroider, and needlepoint and am learning to tat. I am a lifelong fan of the NY Mets (what did you expect, I was raised by a Brooklyn Dodger fan) and I live and die with my boys! I deeply miss Shea Stadium, the new one is just....restaurants. I also work as an Artist's Model - yep, I pose nude for life drawing and oil painting classes at the university.

Somehow I married a man who rarely reads - how did that happen? My friends have kids and don't have time to read. So I'm hoping this will be a way for me to connect with other readers, get some recommendations, share books, etc.
