Recent Book Activity

Books are one of the great loves of my life, my guides and often my inspirations. I am very proud to have added my own book to the world and hope that others might feel enriched by it half as much as I have by the books I have encountered over the years.

'A Book Without Covers' was the one book I had looked for but always failed to find. Finally I realised it was not 'out there' but in me. My dream was to tell the spiritual journey raw, as it was lived, knowing only that it had begun, but having no inkling of where it would lead or how it might end, for that is the spiritual journey as we all must live it, and the journey we all need the courage to share. During the living of it, my own story became interweaved with the journey of an old book that, despite being thrown away, had found its way to a friend at the moment of her greatest need. This book, in turn, found its way to me and became an inspiration in my time of need.

When I discovered Book Crossing, I instantly felt the value of the idea. I love the thought of books taking their own journey around the world and, better still, being able to follow their progress! How wonderful! When my book finally came out in June 2003, I received some complimentary copies as part of the publication process. So, caught up in the idea of book crossing, I decided there and then to release all my remaining copies of my own book into the wild and see what happened. After all, I had lived this whole period of my life as a kind of grand experiment with the nature of reality. Now I have the chance to continue that grand experiment and find out if it is really true that a book thrown away will find the one who needs it most.

I hope that anyone who finds it and decides to take a look will find value in it, as I did in the living of it.
