Extended Profile
I'm an American living in France with my English furniture designer/maker husband (www.nicholasbentley.com), 2 Chows: Van-Ly and Nala; and 3 cats: FloJo, Harry and Miosa. (All raw fed -- except the husband.
:-) ) That's Harry in the picture.
I don't live in Nyons, but near it. The system won't let me add my village (Sahune) to the list.
I learned to read early and was generally curled up with a book while other kids were out playing. I used to soldier on to the end of any book, but now feel that life is too short -- and definitely getting shorter.
Leaving English-language books in strange places is a fruitless exercise here, so I have set up my own little BCZ in the house for our guests and I spend a lot of time searching out trades or checking to see who might want a RABCK. I'm happy to trade anything
on my Availables list and, because people have been so kind to me in that regard, I'm sometimes happy to lend from my Permanent Collection. (Although I will have to get around to registering it.
I go through so many books that I sometimes lose track. If a book shows "In the Wild" with no release notes, it's one I managed to give away without journalling. I regret these and hope one day to see journal entries for them.
As of 2009, my Availables are listed in my
BookMooch Inventory. If you are interested in any, send me a PM and I'll register the book (if not already registered) and send it on to you. Sorry about this, but I have limited energy just now and can't handle inventorying on two lists. If the new
BookCrossing turns out to be easier than the old one, that might change.
I have two linked blogs:
What I Am Reading: 25 Words or Less on Books.
Nightmare Dog-Owner.
