As a little child I did read a book a day. I loved to be in my own world of fiction and one of my favourits was: The Minpins by Roald Dahl.Also the books of the dutch writer Paul Biegel were read and re-read many times. The small captain is in my opinion the best childbook ever written.

Now I read almost everything I'm able to. I love to discover books and authors I didn't know.

I'm not taking part in bookrings, even if the book is on my wishlist, because I don't like timelimits. Reading has to be fun and not feel like work.

Books I've read from the 1001 books you must read before you die
* 19; The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time – Mark Haddon
* 33; Middlesex - Jeffrey Eugenides
* 49; Life of Pi – Yann Martel
* 93; Memoirs of a geisha-Arthur Golden
*105; Forever a stranger (Oeroeg in Dutch), Hella Haasse
*165; Wilde zwanen-Jung Chang
*236; Love in the time of cholera-Gabriel Garcia Marquez
*243; Das Parfum-Patrick Süskind
*290; Rituelen-Cees Nooteboom
*496; Lolita-Vladimir Nabokov
*499; The Quiet American – Graham Greene
*547; Nineteen Eighty-Four – George Orwell
*794; Dracula – Bram Stoker
*803; Diary of a Nobody – George & Weedon Grossmith
*809; The Picture of Dorian Gray – Oscar Wilde
*825; The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn – Mark Twain
*854; Through the Looking Glass, and What Alice Found There – Lewis Carroll
*868; Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland – Lewis Carroll
*882; Max Havelaar – Multatuli
so there is a lot for me to read!!!
