Extended Profile
Day I Joined
I also belong to Found Art. I just joined. I'll add a bit about my first release here when I make it. Check out the site. Also,Phototag. In fact, the founder of BookCrossing got the idea from the PhotoTag site (the PhotoTag site & concept implementation isn't anywhere near as good though).
May 2003
I've been a slacker. I have only made two releases with bookcrossing since joining back in the late fall of 2002. No one has caught/posted (in one case, "perhaps" w/ some reason -- more on that in my next update) either one but I'm optimistic. That's because ...
I HAVE JUST CAUGHT MY FIRST BOOK. IT WAS LEFT IN A PHONE BOOK ON THE OTHER END OF TOWN AND I RUSHED FOR IT SINCE I WAS HALF WAY TO IT (DOWNTOWN) WHERE I WAS (A STORY IN ITSELF -- BUT FOR ANOTHER DAY, ASK IF YOU'RE INTERESTED :).
IT WAS SO-O-O-O EXCITING. ACTUALLY IT WAS. THE SHEER THRILL OF IT HAD ME SMIRKING TO MYSELF EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE ON THE LONG BUS RIDE HOME. AAH, TO BE AN ADVENTURESS. JUST LIKE IN THE (OLD) MOVIES.
As mentioned in my original profile, I also joined FoundArt around the same time I came here. And just like here, I'm a bit of a dabbler, dallier, what have you. But I have, in fact, created & left two small masterpieces of amateur art. My found-art name is FoundArtiste.
