Extended Profile
I am a full-time nomad, living in a motorhome in the USA, and traveling by a variety of means in other countries. I've long been a book exchanger; Bookcrossing adds the opportunity to see where they travel and who else reads them.
I take seasonal jobs in interesting parts of the U.S.; the old mining ghost town of Bodie in the eastern Sierras, driving one of the historic Red Buses in Glacier National Park (shown in photo) giving tours at Heceta Lighthouse in Oregon, working at a small hot springs resort, or driving the Historic Yellow Bus (like photo but yellow) in Yellowstone National Park.
Two of my stories are included in "RV Traveling Tales; Women's Stories from the Open Road," Pine Press, editors Jaimie Hall and Alice Zyetz. A copy of that book accompanied me on a rail trip across Mongolia and Siberia, was passed along, and is now in Australia.
I wrote an article on Bookcrossings for the March\April 2006 edition of ESCAPEES Magazine. It featured photos of the above book on the top of the Great Wall, in a felt ger, and at the summer palace near St. Petersburg. Last heard, it was in Australia.
I particularly enjoy regional literature, giving me a feel for a place before or while I am visiting.
