Also for those of us who not only like to rid our shelves of dust collecting books, now we can do the same for other clutter in our house/garden/garage.

Had a bit of a shock in January 2008, though I guessed it was coming..just didn't know what type, was diagnosed with a Rare Sarcoma.. situated on top right of my lung.. not lung cancer as such as it is outside the lung itself. ( Sarcoma is a cancer of soft tissues there are many different types.)
I have had 6 sessions of Chemo and 32 sessions of radiation therapy now waiting for scan and results in December. Have joined the Sarcoma trust and Rare Cancer Forum for support.
I was treated at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea. The staff there are wonderful.
2 years on despite there still being a small lump I am assured that there are no cancer cells. Now had 5 scans showing clear. :-)
I now make greetings cards and am selling them. 90% of proceeds go to cancer related charities, be it research, care or support of some kind. I only take 10% to buy more materials printer ink. etc.
So far raised £380 and still going.

As well as reading mainly Crime and thrillers ~ Michael Connelly, John Grisham, science fiction such as Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams etc], and auto biographies From Margaret Thatcher to Nelson Mandela, Whoopi Goldberg to Kate Adie and David Niven. I enjoy many other genres e.g. Life of Pi. No1 Ladies detective Agency series. I also read a lot of childrens books mostly to keep up with my Grandchildren, but for enjoyment too, e.g. Harry Potter.... Anything that looks interesting. Non fiction includes garden books, Wildlife photography, Take a look at my bookshelf to see what else I like, My permanent collection books may be borrowed. Except "CENTURY" [see book entry]

I have an Apple MacBookPro on which I spend a fair amount of time editing my photographs, Its amazing how much the camera can now lie! :-)
My son lives in Woodstock GA with his wife and stepson, My daughter lives a mile from me with her son and daughter. I spend a lot of time with them when my daughter is working. Make greetings cards to order so every card is unique and personalised. PM me if you would like more details.
I was a teacher of children aged 4 - 7 as a late entrant teacher having raised my children first, then I had to take early retirement and miss it very much!
