I am a very open-minded cheerful young man who looks forward to make friends from all over the world. In private time I spent a lot of time in reading and writing, besides that I like swiming, jogging, fine arts, antiques or just idling time by doing nothing. I travelled frequently to Europe and Africa. If you are from German-speaking countries, you are mostly welcomed, because I am learning German. People from East Europe have priorities too, because I am very interested in this region. But don't mind if you are from other countries or cultures, for I have a cosmopolitan mind. All I expect from my penpal is that he or she should be one in similar age, honest and open-minded, with good sense of humour, sharing similar interest.
My friends say I am very intelligent, and have a lot of wits that are quite unique. I don't know. Perhaps true. I love reading books, all kinds of books as long as I could lay my hands on, I will read them. I love reading Sci-Fi, Gothic and neo-gothic Novels (I love Anne Rice's the Vampire Chronicles so dearly, don't forget to contact me if you are an Anne Rice fan too), Utopian and Dystopian. I love E.A. Poe too. He is a writer that I might choose for researching if my application to the postgraduate study in literature succeeds.
In private time, I also watch a lot of movies. I don't like Hollywood blockbusters, for they only have merits in the visual effects, and nothing else. The plots are too superficial and they are always Star-vehicles. I prefer Cinemas Francais or Spanish movies. They are so artisitic and philosophical and thought-provoking. I really regret that I haven't learned French and Spanish. I could speak fluent English and some German, but if I have some French or Spanish knowledge, I would be able to understand those subtle meanings in the french or spanish movies.
I am not quite good at sports, especially those very competitive games, nevertheless I do enjoy those less energy-consuming sports like swimming, ice-skating and jogging. I have decided to go more roller-skating this summer, and I think that's a brilliant idea!
I love sea, and I think that's the most touching spectale in this world (unless one day I will be able to have an eye of the universe in outer space). The most romantic thing I could imagine is lying down on the beach, listening to the rhyms of waves and looking up the starry night with the one I love.
