What’s Ganzo?
Ganzo is a non-profit cultural association created for students to interact with the community. Ganzo is yours! We encourage you to turn in ideas for special events, meetings, book readings, anything you’d like to propose!
Ganzo is a non-profit cultural entity created for and run by our students. It is a project meant to promote integration in Florence, and to encourage and facilitate the communication between students and the city. At Ganzo you won't find olive oil and balsamic
vinegar on the tables for the breadbasket; in Florence one doesn't dip bread in olive oil, only in the US this happens at the table! Ganzo's mission seeks also to share Italy's culinary traditions. The dishes on the menu are chosen and prepared by our students
under the supervision of our culinary professors. Italian cuisine is simple, portions are moderate; do not expect Ganzo to be a slice of America in Florence. Avoid stereotypes and comparisons, seek to appreciate and absorb the cultural differences. Only through
this approach will your cultural experience will be memorable and stay with you throughout your entire life! Ganzo is a unique experience in all of Italy, help us to carry forth its mission: you can volunteer at Ganzo, celebrate your birthday with us, bring
parents and friends when they visit and welcome them here as if it were your own home. Participate in art shows and special events. Try to understand the heart of Ganzo, to comprehend it, help Ganzo to become vital and useful for our community.
