Extended Profile
We work in the dark. We do what we can. The rest is the madness of art.
(Poe Ballantine)
Some of my favorite authors and/or genres: Gore Vidal, Paul Auster, Russell Banks, Tom Robbins, Philip Roth, Robertson Davies, Timothy Findley, Barbara Kingsolver, Magic Realism, Caribbean and Indian litteratures, Mysteries/thrillers (although not the too violent ones).
And what about trades? I love to trade, especially at the international level (which doesn't mean that I don't like to trade with local people - it only means that I get really excited when I receive books from far away countries). But! because I like to trade, I've accumulated that big pile of BC books that I'd really like to get moving. So I'll try to limit my trades for some time, so as to bring the pile down a bit. This being said, if you see on my shelf a book that you're dying to read, PM me. We'll manage something.
Note about shelf: My books are usually Canadian or older editions so i never get a picture when i enter the ISBN (when there's one). But my shelf looked so bleak that I copied some of the US ISBN from amazon.com so as to get some pictures on my virtual shelf. Now it looks prettier but the "real" book will almost never look like the one illustrated here.
My Wish List
