BookCrossing is such an enjoyable and energizing pastime. What a privilege to be part of this worldwide network of readers and friends!

I haven't spent much time on the BookCrossing site in the past couple of years, but am still reading and sharing books! In November 2009 I retired from my original career (archaeology and environmental planning), and went into business full-time arranging leisure travel for individuals and groups. I'm having a lot of fun sending people on adventures to destinations where I formerly sent only books. If you're thinking about planning a special trip, please don't hesitate to contact me (through my website) at Tortoise & Hare Travel!

I am currently doing a lot of space-clearing at home, and have a number of books I'm offering to BXers who have them on their wish lists. If you receive a PM from me offering a book; please don't worry that I want to trade or expect anything back. I just want to do my part to keep the BookCrossing experience moving forward.

My "TBR" tally for books registered by other BookCrossers that are now on my shelf: 44.
I am reading my way through this wonderful list, and feeling very grateful for all the interesting, good books that have come my way.

A note regarding books on my shelf: Like many BookCrossers, I have made journal entries for numerous books that have passed through my hands either in transit between readers via a bookbox, or donated for BXing by friends and family members. The surest way to find my recommendations for readers with similar interests is to read a few of my journal entries.

My first book box completed its journey 3-20-08:
