5-23-05 Below are my boring thoughts from last year, but I have just a quick update.

To anyone who was unable to PM or email me since last year, I apologize. I needed to fix many computer problems and update my email address here. To those of you in the Wind, Sand, and Stars book ray, I'm so sorry I allowed the other stressors in my life to delay the rest of you in getting to enjoy this book. I guess I should have learned my lesson by now about borrowing things. :'( It's on my goal list to put the book back as it came and mail it out just as soon as I can. Thanks again for your extended patience.

I did want to become involved with bookcrossing, but for the time being at least it seems I won't be able to be very active. But anyone is still welcome to message me now that I fixed my address problem. Thank you!
__________
I recently joined BookCrossing because it sounded like a fun and exciting idea. Unfortunately for me, I'm not good at finishing things I start and I'm also not very social. But if only for the sake of having a nice list of all my books, I might just register them anyway and see what happens. I am hoping to be able to make a release soon, even though I am too broke (wanting both time and money) to share as much as I'd like to.

I started to itemize my collection, despite having not even read most of the books I have. I inherited some a while back. Once an avid reader, it has been years since I really took the time to sit down and enjoy a good book and hope to change that soon.

Maybe I should imitate deenbat, who says, "I own several thousand books and see no sense in registering them if I'm going to be greedy and not share them!" I don't know. I am quite the stingy packrat. Around my house we have an impressive library growing, except with no room to put anything. Overflowing into the yard might be more accurate. It would seem each dusty and yellowed page in my littered abode is to me a little hint of gold leaf ... and I just can't bear to part with my precious treasures. No matter that I haven't read most. But if you are in dire need of something feel free to contact me.

There are quite a few more books to be listed eventually from a wide range of genres.

So far in my limited time some favorites have been George MacDonald, Rafael Sabatini, Antoine de Saint Exupery, Andre Norton, Dave Duncan, H.G. Wells, and Ray Bradbury to name a few.

It occurs to me I would enjoy starting a bookring if I can afford postage. If you see anything of interest please message me.

I am in:
WIND, SAND AND STARS" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery (still open)
