Official Request: Please Do Not Send Me Any More Books! My shelves are ALL full!

"Heroes didn’t leap tall buildings or stop bullets with an outstretched hand; they didn’t wear boots and capes. They bled, and they bruised, and their superpowers were as simple as listening, or loving. Heroes were ordinary people who knew that even if their own lives were impossibly knotted, they could untangle someone else’s. And maybe that one act could lead someone to rescue you right back."
(Second Glance – Jodi Picoult)

About Me

Hey there! I came across bookcrossing when Sherlockfan released this book at the bus stop down the road from my old house. I found it walking home from uni and brought it home. I chose my username that evening and signed up and haven't looked back since! I have always loved reading, as seen in my pic above! One of my earliest memories is being read Winnie the Pooh by my Dad, whose copies of those books were extremely old, and we weren't allowed to touch! The background of this page is the print from my famous bookcrossing pajamas! I love to do crazy things like go on vertical bungies :D:D:D

I've met (both in person and online) some wonderful people through bookcrossing, but especially on the f&g forum, at conventions, at our local meetups, and on LiveJournal. I hope to meet many more through my life! In my experience, bookcrossers are awesome!

My hobbies include reading (duh), travelling, the outdoors, writing (I write a couple of not very often updated blogs, my travel blog, and Hello It's Me with Skyring), and walking. I also attend our monthly meetups when I’m in town :)

I don't really have a favourite author because there are so many good ones out there! See below for some of my fave books of all time. My favourite genres are historical, murder mysteries, children and teenage books and generic fiction!

I’d love to lend out my pc books, but with my job I’m not home a lot of the time so right now I’m not lending them out because it’s just going to be a hassle remembering to post them on my limited time off at home. I won't ever put other peoples books on private collection. If I have anything marked available, feel free to pm me, but see above re: posting things.

My address in Rabck.com is no longer current and I can’t seem to log in to change it – please don’t send stuff to me there!

My Interests

Current obsessions: Amanda Palmer, conventions, Neil Gaiman, Sister Hazel, travel, markeroni, bookcrossing!

Other things I like:

Chocolate. Especially dark chocolate.

Tea. Milk, no sugar please ;)

Knitting. Tzurriz taught me how to knit when I was lucky enough to stay at her place in 2009 and I’m enjoying continuing to improve!

Movies: I really like kids movies (the good ones that is) like Shrek, Flushed Away, Bridge to Terabithia, Mister Magorian’s Wonder Emporium. I will also watch other movies occasionally though! Liiiiiiiiiiiiike Saved, Eagle vs Shark, Juno, among others that I can’t think of right now… I'm also a big Simpsons and Criminal Minds fan.

Music: favourite bands/artists include Sister Hazel (thanks WingedMan!), Jack Johnson, Cat Stevens, Eric Bogle, R.E.M., Brooke Fraser, Paul Simon, Amanda Palmer and much much more!

As I´m sure you can tell, I also LOVE bright colours!! Thanks to yvi-1 for the excellent article on html formatting to enable me to be able to change the colour of the text!!!!

Thanks to all who are giving me hugs!! They are much appreciated!!
