I love reading and read anything that looks interesting. What I like about books is that I can dip into someone elses life for a while, experience another culture or sub culture. I've found myself reading a lot of memoirs recently and have really enjoyed all that I have read so far. I'm not interested in political of celebrity memoirs, but of people I haven't heard of and are not that famous, if at all famous but have interesting lives. I don't really have any favourite authors, although I do like Douglas Coupland and plan on collecting and reading all his books. I love his characters. I like books with good characters and a good story. I'm not into fantasy or Sci-Fi, although I do read Terry Pratchett, but not for the fantasy but for the humour.
