"The Universe is made of stories, not of atoms"
--Muriel Rukeyser
I cried all the way home on the first day of Kindergarden because I had been informed I would not be taught to read until First Grade. I fell in love with books at a very early age and my love affair continues....or shall we call it an obsession? I have a towering stack of to-be-read books and for everyone I read at least three more seem to show up. I find books at thrift stores, garage sales, just all over the place, including a fabulous used book store in Salem, Oregon. I was astonished to find this website, for here are thousands of people who feel just as passionately about
books as I do! I love to talk about books so drop me an email if you feel so inclined. I'm a work-at-home artist so I have loads of moments in which I would rather procrastinate online than do actual work!
Please note: I am currently taking a hiatus from Bookcrossing due to a serious health issue in my family and also other very serious relationship issues. My apologies to those who have emailed me in the past month or two...I have not been keeping up on email. There are days I feel lucky to just get out of bed! Hopefully, my life will get back on track soon........
