I'm German and live in Germany (on the outskirts of Hamburg), but I'm a BRIT at heart, and it's always been my biggest dream to get out of here and move "home". I'm trying my best for that to happen. Fingers crossed, okay?? :o)
I love reading and never manage to just walk past a bookstore, but I always have to walk in. I read all books in English only (except for when they're actually by a German author... but I don't read many of those at all. Let's say... one or two books a year, and then mostly non-fiction), but thank God all they bookstores here have got a very wide selection of English books. I also like browing booksites like Amazon and buy books there sometimes, too.
I love the British classics and am a huge fan of the Bronte sisters, but I also read plenty of other stuff, especially historical (fiction as well as non-fiction), mystery thrillers, horror, family sagas, as well as cynical/ironic books like John Irving's novels. I also like a good short story from time to time, esp. those by Roald Dahl.
Bookcrossing sounds like the perfect website for me and I I'm already looking forward to meeting lots of fellow bookworms here! :o)
