Welcome to BokOrm's Page
Probably the best way to describe me, is your average bookworm. I enjoy reading and have quite a broad taste in what I do read. Although I have to hold my hand up and admit that my main staple is Scandinavian Crime fiction, which I do find
addictive. The only genre I've never really taken to is romantic fiction...well, the line does have to be drawn somewhere. Having said that, I have read Bridget Jones and really enjoyed it, I guess, if the book has other facets to it, I'm more prepared to
be open-minded.
My natural habitat is a bookshop, browsing the shelves for something to add to my ever increasing book mountain. I prefer to read something that requires me to manually turn a paper page rather than press something electronic, and I’m in heaven if the bookshop
I choose for my hunting ground, has a comfy sofa or a coffee shop, where I can quickly disappear into my latest acquisition.
I tend to have several books on the go at the same time, and read books from a variety of sources, not just from bookcrossing, so not all of the books on my lists will have been registered. I'm happy to trade any of the books on my available list for those
on my reading list (below, its virtually the same as my wishlist) or for anything else that sounds interesting.
I’ve given up on wild releases as I haven't had much success with previous attempts, so I prefer to release books as a RABCK, a controlled release (either as a swap/trade/forward to a fellow BookCrosser or bookring/ray/spiral) or via a BookCrossing Zone. Happy
to post books abroad, but US/Canada/Australia will be dependant on my budget at the time (and will only be by surface mail).
The inner BokOrm09 does harbour a burning ambition to become a writer. I'm a member of several creative writing groups and a new convert to blogging. I try to spend at least 10 minutes writing everyday. If I'm not working on a story/story idea, I'll usually
work on a blog entry, just to keep myself writing and my brain ticking over.
