Recent Book Activity

Hello there,

I'm Vicki, 21, from South Wales. I'm in Cardiff University studying philosophy (which I think is fantastic).

I love to travel - I want to visit everywhere, and experience and learn about how other cultures live their daily lives. I am a member of an amateur dramatics society (although I'm not sure what that says about me!!) and I play squash with my dad on a regular basis (a more interesting way of keeping fit than going to the gym - and lots of fun when I win!)

And of course, I love to read. When I'm in a heavy mood, I like to read philosophical texts - my favourite philosopher is Jean Paul Sartre - he is just so pessimistic! But when I want to relax and read something light, I like comedy books - I have read a lot of Terry Prachett and just LOVE the Red Dwarf trilogy by Rob Grant and Grant Naylor (which is staying in my permanent collection so I can read it again and again when I'm feeling down!) Perhaps I will buy another copy of it so that I can set it free and share the joy with other people!

I tried to list all the books I have read this year but have got so behind that I have forgotten what I read! Never mind, new year nearly on us, maybe I can try again! lol!

The books on my shelf do not reflect my interests - many books were given to me for releasing.

If a book isn't staying in my permanent collection, I generally like to wild release it but if you see a book on my shelf which is 'available', please pm me and I will be happy to share it!
