Unto the Daughters: The Legacy of an Honor Killing in a Sicilian-American Family by Karen Tintori

Hello, and welcome to the Anglers Rest bookshelf.

I have always enjoyed reading since I was a child, and I always have a good supply to read. I love nothing more than getting settled on the couch with a cuppa, an apple and a totally absorbing book.....wonderful!

Books on my bookshelf are listed as:
PC - These are in my permanent collection; and include some books that are old and/or out of print, some that are my favourites, some that have been gifts, and some that are not practical to post.If there is anything specific from any of these books please let me know and I will see if I can help.
AVL - These are book that are available and that I will send out on a ring/ray,loan,trade or I might RABCK.
TBR - These are books that are in the expanding to be read pile.
RES - These are books that I have plans for.
TRAV - These are books that are away from home! or have been released.

Also listed as PC are my hubby's collection of books, these are mainly angling books. Hubby does also have his own (new) bookshelf at CraftyAngler

I always journal books that I have loaned out, or that I have received, so it is worth checking on individual books. If a book is on loan to a non BookCrosser, then I will edit the book listing.
Non BookCrossers are always encouraged to join us!

I spent about four months during 2004 looking through all my books in my study, many collected during the last 20 years, many of them history texts or academic books. I was ruthless, there were two piles, those to be kept and those to be listed on Ebay. It was a tough time, but I was fast and simply going out of room!

I am in the process of registering all the books I own; Its going to be a long job, as I have books everywhere, and I am gradually working my way through the house! Eventually my BookCrossing bookshelf will reflect every book that I come into contact with, including those in my permanent collection, all the books that I wild release, books passed on via Ebay and those read as part of a bookring. Books passed on via Ebay will also be registered on BookCrossing, so that perhaps I can see where they travel too and maybe BookCrossing will gather new members.

None of the books that I have been sent using the ethos of BookCrossing will be listed on Ebay, and will of course will continue their life spreading the BookCrossing message! Indeed, some of the Ebay pile may well be diverted onto BookCrossing!

I am half Italian, and have an interest in all thing Italian! I have quite a collection of books on Italy & Sicily where my own ancestors came from. These books are in my PC and I am always interested to talk to others researching their Italian ancestry. I am a founder member of the Anglo Italian Family History Society

Apart from reading, my main interest in Genealogy and local history. I am especially interested in my home town of Guildford. You might be interested to have a look at the ring for the Genealogical Journal If you are interested in taking part, please email me or send a PM.

These are lots of books that I want to read, or if they are more historical, its because I want to look at them for something I'm working on. I just got fed up with piles of post it notes and slips of paper with names of books on, so I put the lists together, and its a long list!! Thanks to Cliff1976 for the wish list.
