I have always been a confirmed bookworm and am encouraging my daughter to be the same. My interest was captured by A A Milne as a child, and CS Lewis. For her, it's the ubiquitous Harry Potter that started her off.

My busy working day seems to offer insufficient time to drift away with a good book. When I do get a chance, Joanne Harris is proving a current favourite. I love to read travel books and articles, and anything about Hispanic culture. Also, cookery books are a favourite, to read, as well as a recipe source!

My home bookshelves, like so many others I'm sure, have always been sacrosanct to me. It won't come easy to just give a book away. But in many cases, if the book gives only a fragment of the joy it has brought me, it will be well worth it.

How many times in my travels have I picked up someone's thoughtfully left paperback - your website offers much the same service. An inspiration, and one I will share with my daughter's school. For her it will be an inspiration on two fronts - she will share her books and improve her internet skills. Excellent.
