9 out of 10

This is the compelling story of a young man who wanders around the U.S. by foot and by hitchhiking, and ultimately ends up in a remote area of Alaska. Christopher definitely hears his own drummer; he doesn't quite fit in with other people and so continues to search for meaning in his life.

Even if you've seen the movie, this book is definitely a must-read.

Haven't read yet, can't wait to get started!

I found the book on a bench on the iconic Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine with my dad, who said, " Oh look, how unfortunate someone forgot their book on the bench." Then I grabbed the book out of his hands, not knowing, and said "We have to put it back. Someoneis going to realize they left their book here and come back and get it.", which is when I looked at the book and read "take me home with you". I was so excited to have come across this book and can't wait to leave it somewhere to pass along.
