I am sooooooo excited to get this one! It is on the top of Mt. TBR - thanks so much, rureading!
I finished this book late last night. I LOVED it - of course :)
I completely adore the crazy charaters of the March family, I completely adore Julia, and Brisbane is definitely alluring (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
Thank you soooooooooooo much for sharing this with me, rureading!! I may have to dive right into book 3......

Yup - enjoyed ever as much as the first one!
Kept me guessing well into the story. Brisbane is a pretty mysterious man, but we certainly learned more by the end of book 2. And I love how Julia ended the book with the gypsy, Magda.
Great series who-dunnit of books.

Released at the Joshua Tree Café - Calgary BookCrosser's December Meet-up.
Yeah, the second book. I cannot wait to read it!!!!!
I forgot how wonderful the Lady Julia Grey novels are. This was a fun look at a family that is not concerned with appearances and what happens when murder befalls the household. Very good read, I'm looking forward to future adventures with Julia...

Picked up at today's Calgary Bookcrossing meetup. I really enjoyed the first Julia Grey book so I'm rather looking forward to this one as well.
I really enjoyed book two of this series more than book one. It was an absorbing read with characters that kept me intrigued and guessing. Julia and her family had me laughing out loud on several occasions and her interactions with Brisbane were gutsy and had me admiring her a lot. I'm still curious about the ending with Magda but we'll see what happens in time.
Will be brought to the next Calgary bookcrossing meetup and handed off. Just in time for Christmas!

Caught another one I forgot to journal. Going to the top of the pile.
Great holiday read. She is an interesting character and I enjoy reading historical fiction. Thanks for the great read!
This book is ready to head off to the Christmas meet up at Cravings.
Picked up at the December meeting!

Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing January meet-up. Yay, the next book in the series!
I wish I could remember more of the first book. It took me a while to remember who was who. In any case, you don't really need to know the details of the last book to enjoy this one. Julia and Brisbane continue to solve mysteries in their bickering/unresolved sexual tension ways. The only thing that bugged me was how long it took to get to the murder. 200 pages. There's 200 pages of set-up and backstory. I know it sets the scene and provides useful information, but that's still a long wait for the crux of the plot to occur.
Passing this book on to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing February meet-up.
picked up at Feb. 13th Calgary meeting
The March family continues to live up to the saying "mad as March hares"...
Definitely going to try and track down the next book of the series
