I loved the small town Ireland setting. The varied characters and their idiosynchrasies had you feeling every emotion there is! The "nosey parkers" and the gossip mongers were painted with generous strokes of humour by MB. I really felt like I got to know a huge number of characters without feeling bogged down by the details. The suspense of the disappearance of a peculiar mother mixed with the mind-boggling mistake of a well intentioned daughter kept me reading late into the night!
