This book is part of a Gap Filler project. Books that have made people THINK DIFFERENTLY about an aspect of their lives have been donated to our book exchange that has been set up in a fridge on an empty site created by the Christchurch earthquake.
Visit the fridge on the corner of Barbadoes and Kilmore Streets.
Deposit a book, share a book, take a book away!

I'm always a bit cautious when reading novels that have won awards and widespread acclaim - all too often they disappoint. But Mister Pip doesn't. It's an incredibly powerful story about the incredible power of stories.

This was passed on to me when I met up with futurecat for lunch on Tuesday. I have a copy of this book in Auckland but my Mum has said she would like to read this one. Then she will pass it on.
The Gap Filler project sounds awesome and I will try and drop some books off when I am back in Christchurch next week.
