I seized the day and read Little Bee, which I started last night, to the end. The story revolves around a girl fleeing from certain death in Nigeria and how her world collided with that of a British couple in the wrong place at the wrong time. It follows her as they collide again in England. An unsettling story. I don't want to give away any of the plot so I'll leave it there.

I loved the author's use of metaphor and simile from two different cultural perspectives.
