Saw this on your wishlist, so I send this to you because I tagged you in the wishlist-tag-game. I love this book !
It is a slow-paced traditional English novel, which I particularly liked in my early twenties (when I first read this) but which I still do now too.
The romance, the courtoisie, the lady-like- ladies ... , the gentlemen, the castles :-)
I like really traditionally gothic novels in Anne Radcliffe-style too, and allthough this wants to 'contradict ' this, I feel it's not alltogether that different 'after all these years'.
Well, whether you read it 'with a love for old literature and classics' 'for the sake of romance' 'to pass time' 'critically' , however you read it : ENJOY !
